MASTER GUN – THE ARMOURY BUNDLE

The Master Gun Armoury Bundle is our flagship weapons library containing an ever growing number of weapons recordings, buy once and receive all future core releases for free. Core releases include Pistols, Rifles, Machine Guns (MG), Light Machine Guns (LMGs), Heavy Machine Guns (HMGs), Sniper Rifles, Sub Machine Guns (SMGs), Shotguns, Suppressed Weapons, Grenade Launchers, Anti Tank Weapons.

We are continually investing into this collection to provide you with more microphone options, more rare weapons, and even having custom suppressors made for weapons that can’t be normally suppressed.

Not only will you get access to every core Master Gun library both current and future, but you’ll also receive a collection of our legacy gun libraries that were sampled to test microphone options on various types of firearms. Raw Foley

Each gun in the Master Gun Armoury Bundle has been deeply sampled to give you a full collection of foley. Each gun has been recorded outside in the open Nevada desert to avoid room reflections. All of our mag ins and outs have been recorded with full magazines to avoid spring resonance, and if the gun allowed, we recorded multiple different magazine types (Metal, Plastic, PMAG, etc.

Season 1: Features a stereo set of Neumann KRM81i mts placed on the left and the right of the weapons.

Season 2: Features a stereo set of Neumann KRM81i mts as well as 2 additional microphones including the Sanken CO-100k and an 8ft Sennheiser MKH 8050.

Raw Shots

The Master Gun Armoury Bundle was recorded with a 20 – 28 multichannel setup. Both recording setups feature 6 – 8 close perspectives and 4 – 7 distant perspectives which allows you to place the shooter anywhere you want within your mix.

Season: Features a 20 channel multitrack setup with 6 close perspectives and 4 distant perspectives.

Season 2: Features a variety of recording setups using our new 28 channel multitrack setup which includes two unique attached perspectives placed next to the firing mechanism of the gun, 6 close perspectives, and 7 distant perspectives. Our new recording setup features two attached DPA 4062 microphones, two stereo sets of Sennheiser MKH 8040s and one stereo set of Sennheiser MKH 8050s

Designed Shots

Each library in the Master Gun Armoury Bundle features a designed assets from 3 individual Sound Designers

Modern Mixes: Inspired by some of our favourite games we’ve created multiple aggressive mixes which not only includes a stereo mix, but also includes instantly implementable layers like Shot, Mech, Tail, Atmo, & Trigger Pull. (Products with red icons contain these mixes)

Building Block Mixes: Our Building Block mixes are lightly designed assets which are specifically created to give you a jump start when designing your own mixes. These mixes include multiple Close, Medium and Far distance mixes for every library. (Products with red icons contain these mixes)

Realistic Mixes: Designed by our recordist each library comes with 6 realistic mixes including 1st Person (with and without tail), 3rd Person (with and without tail), and Distant (with and without tail). These mixes are perfect for implementation or using them as reference mixes when crafting your own mixes.

Suppressed & Alternate Ammo

In addition to recording unsuppressed shots we have also recorded over 1/3rd of our library with suppressors or alternate ammo types including Subsonic rounds and Dragons Breath rounds.

The Suppressed, Subsonic and Dragon Breath rounds were sampled right after the unsuppressed recordings using the exact same microphone setup as the unsuppressed version. This provides you a seamless transition between the unsuppressed and the suppressed recordings.

The suppressed & subsonic recordings also have the added benefit of muting the shot layers which helps bring out the intricate details of the mechanism.

Because adding a suppressor to the firearm increases the weapons muzzle velocity, the fire rate of the suppressed weapon is slightly faster than its unsuppressed counterpart.

What Libraries Are Included?

With the purchase of the Master Gun Armoury Bundle you will receive all of our core weapon libraries and our 3 core weapon tail packs included in our new Nevada Tail Pack. You will also receive all future core weapon libraries for free. *There will be a few specially weapon libraries outside of our core collection that won’t be included in the Armoury Bundle due to the cost of the recording sessions. The list of weapons is very small and will mostly include aircraft weapons, some anti-tank weapons, and super rare weapons we basically have to buy that exceed $10,000 to record specialty weapons like the AN-94, Vulcan, Mini Guns, & Lahti L-39.

Core Tail Libraries

With the purchase of the Master Gun Armoury Bundle you will receive all base library updates for free which can include us recording new samples for the library, re-sampling the entire library with more microphones, new designed mixes, metadata updates, etc.

Why Deliver 32-Bit Float Shots?

There are several advantages in using 32Bit float recordings. One of which is having greater separation from the explosion of the gun and the mech. Because of this, you’ll be able to isolate the mech from each gun and bring out each guns unique characteristics.

Every single gun has been recorded using the same gain settings on the same recorders, and we have level matched each microphone option between the same calibers so your 50ft microphones will be the same or similar across all libraries that share the same calibers. This makes mixing large amounts of weapons easier as the loudness and character of each gun is predictable

32Bit Float files require a slightly different workflow than you might be used to. Other gun sample libraries that use 24 Bit recordings already come pre-compressed/clipped and will be louder than our libraries. when you are working with 32 Bit Float gun recordings you’ll need to compress/clip the recordings in order to get the same loudness.

Metadata

One of the most powerful features included in the Master Gun library is its extensive metadata and tagging. Every single field has been filled out. Every library is compatible with all major sound library management software including Sound Miner, Baeshead, Soundly, etc.

To take advantage of all the metadata features we do recommend using Sound Miner.
