The Master Gun IWI Galil ACE GEN II .308 Sound Effects library is recorded using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range in the Nevada Desert.

Weapon Information

The Galil ACE II is a modernized version of the classic Galil rifle, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. While retaining the gas-operated, rotating bolt system that made the original Galil renowned for its reliability, the ACE II incorporates enhancements for improved ergonomics and performance, making it highly versatile in modern tactical environments.

Equipped with a 16-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel, the rifle ensures enhanced durability and accuracy. Its design focuses on adaptability and ruggedness, making it an optimal choice for both urban and open-field combat scenarios.

Key features include: – Full-length Picatinny rail on top for mounting optics and other accessories, providing flexibility for various tactical configurations – Additional rails on the sides and bottom for attaching tactical accessories such as lights, grips, and lasers – Side-folding, adjustable buttstock with a built-in cheek riser for improved shooter comfort and adjustability for different shooting positions – Flip-up iron sights with tritium inserts for better visibility in low-light conditions – Ambidextrous controls, including a safety selector and magazine release, making the rifle accessible for both right- and left-handed users.

Raw Recordings

Our raw shots features a total of 28 channels including 13 Stereo and 2 mono sources. All of our close and mid spaced pair Microphone options can be used as two independent mono microphones. The right side of every spaced pair will have more Mech than its left side counterpart.

Every single gun has been recorded using the same gain settings on the same recorders, and we have level matched each microphone option between the same calibers so your 50ft microphones will be the same or similar across all libraries that share the same calibers. This makes mixing large amounts of weapons easier as the loudness and character of each gun is predictable.

Our foley features a total of 4 audio channels with 1 Stereo and 2 mono sources, including the Sanken CO-100k which captures frequencies above 100kHz for extreme pitch shifting workflows.

Why Deliver 32-Bit Float Shots?

There are several advantages in using 32Bit float recordings. One of which is having greater separation from the explosion of the gun and the mech. Because of this, you’ll be able to isolate the mech from each gun and bring out each guns unique characteristics.

32Bit Float files require a slightly different workflow than you might be used to. Other gun sample libraries that use 24 Bit recordings already come pre-compressed/clipped and will be louder than our libraries. when you are working with 32 Bit Float gun recordings you’ll need to compress/clip the recordings in order to get the same loudness.

Metadata

One of the most powerful features included in the Master Gun library is its extensive metadata and tagging. Every single field has been filled out. Every library is compatible with all major sound library management software including Sound Miner, Baeshead, Soundly, etc.

To take advantage of all the metadata features we do recommend using Sound Miner.
