The weapon movements library features shakes, grabs, and inspections of firearms with different intensities ranging from soft to hard.

Whats Included: Single Shakes, Rhythmic Shakes, Random Shakes, and an extensive collection of weapon and magazine grabs both with and without gloves.

Weapon Information

The weapon movements library is an extensive collection of shake, rattle, movements, and grab samples across 41 different weapons and magazines types and covers all the major weapon categories (rifle, smg, pistol, shotgun, etc) and build materials (metal, plastic, wood, etc). Weather you need a medium rifle with a plastic magazine, small sub machine gun with a metal magazine, or even a large sniper rifle with a metal magazine, the Weapon Movements library has you covered.

Weapon Shakes

For Part 1 of the Weapon Movements sound effects library we recorded 4 different styles of movements at varying levels of intensities, including:

– Single Shakes: Preformed by shaking the gun up and down. Contains Soft – Hard variations for most guns, and is perfect to layer with walking and running animations.

– Random Shakes: Preformed by randomly shaking and moving parts on the gun at a constant intensity and is perfect for generating your own in game movements.

– Rhythmic Shakes: Preformed by rocking the gun back and forth at a constant pace and is perfect to layer with any walking or running animation. When combined with the Sanken CO-100k you can pitch these recordings around to match any animation sequence.

– Weapon Inspections: Preformed by turning the gun to the left or right which produces a softer type of movements and was chosen to match weapon inspection animations.

Weapon Grabs

For Part 2 of the Weapon Movements sound effects library we sampled an extensive collection of weapon grab sounds recorded with both barehands and combat gloves including:

When paired with the random shakes you can quickly build the perfect grab sound with just the right amount of rattle.

Magazine Grabs

For Part 3 we did not just stop at weapon grabs, we also wanted to cover all of the major magazine types for not only every gun type but also magazine material. Each magazine was sampled both full and empty to help enhance the realism of your reload sequences.

Microphone Options

When planning the Weapon Movements library, we wanted to not only give the most versatile set of recordings

Stereo Neumann KRM81i mts: If you are a frequent user of our Master Gun libraries, you’ll be very familiar with our favourite mech and foley microphone. The Neumann’s were placed in the exact same orientation as the foley recorded in the Master Gun Armoury.

Stereo Sennheiser MKH 8050s: The Sennheisers are newly featured microphone in our Armoury and we love the almost plastic like quality it captures from each of the guns. The Sennheisers were placed directly in front of the guns.

Stereo Sanken CO-100ks: When it comes to ultrasonics the Sanken CO-100ks are our go to microphones. We decided to place the Sankens directly in front of the guns as the omnidirectional nature of these microphones pair perfectly with both the Neuamnns and the Sennheisers.

Use each microphone on their own or mix them with each other and pitch the recordings around. If are looking for a slightly larger firearm try pairing the Neumann’s or the Sennheisers with the Sankens and slightly pitch the samples up or down.

Metadata

One of the most powerful features included in the Master Gun library is its extensive metadata and tagging. Every single field has been filled out. Every library is compatible with all major sound library management software including Sound Miner, Baeshead, Soundly, etc.

To take advantage of all the metadata features we do recommend using Sound Miner.
